TheraVitae's Stem Cell Technology |
| TheraVitae’s adult stem cell manufacturing process begins with the collection of a small sample of peripheral blood taken from the patient’s blood in a simple procedure similar to a blood donation. The blood is taken to TheraVitae’s manufacturing facility where the stem cells are separated from the blood and then using TheraVitae’s proprietary technology, the stem cells are greatly expanded to yield millions of therapeutic stem cells. The finished product is then shipped back to the hospital where it is administered to the original patient as an adult stem cell therapy. TheraVitae is currently refining its technology to enable them to treat a variety of conditions in addition to heart disease and peripheral artery disease.
