VesCell™ for Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)

Peripheral artery disease is a painful vascular disease caused by a narrowing or blockage of any blood vessel outside the heart or brain but most often occurs in the legs. The disease is marked by cramps, fatigue, or pain in the legs (usually caused by or associated with exercise), ulcers or wounds on the feet or toes that do not heal, a lower temperature in the legs and feet, and sometimes gangrene. Patients suffering from PAD have an increased risk of heart attack or stroke.

VesCell™ uses a special process to differentiate and multiply the stem cells responsible for building blood vessels. The patients own stem cells are injected into the affected area where they work to restore blood flow by building new blood vessels. This increased blood flow improves mobility and stamina, decreases pain, and allows ulcers to heal.  In severe cases, VesCell™ for PAD can save lower limbs from amputation.
